Building Skills and Saving Lives...
SafeTALK is a half-day training course that teaches participants how to recognize the signs of someone who may be at risk of suicide and how to connect them with resources and support. This training emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for someone to talk about their suicidal thoughts, and teaches participants how to identify appropriate resources and referrals for ongoing care
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST): ASIST is a two-day training course that teaches participants how to intervene with someone who may be at risk of suicide. This training provides practical skills for recognizing warning signs and engaging in a conversation with someone about their suicidal thoughts. ASIST also teaches participants how to develop a safety plan, provide ongoing support, and connect someone to professional resources as needed.

Calls to the Suicide Crisis Line are confidential, but we are required to report to outside agencies and/or get additional help in certain situations, including immediate risk of suicide or homicide and minor, elder, or dependent adult abuse or neglect.
