SafeTALK 2023
Make a Difference:
Become a Suicide Crisis Line Volunteer
By becoming a suicide crisis line volunteer
you can make a difference in someone’s life.
We will teach you how to offer a safe space where people can call for
free, confidential, support without judgment.
Volunteering on our suicide crisis line is a great way to gain experience, learn new skills, and become part of an amazing, compassionate community.
We offer training every fall and winter.
In these sessions, you will learn active listening skills, crisis intervention strategies, risk assessment, local resources, and much more. You will also meet others who are committed to reducing the stigma of suicide and helping people directly.
If you are a college student, we do accept field study applications. Please contact us to learn of any openings.
You must be age 18 or over to be a suicide crisis line volunteer.
We are looking for new suicide crisis line volunteers!
Our crisis hotline serves the tri-county area of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz.
Join us for a rewarding experience while learning active listening skills, self-care,
and suicide and crisis intervention techniques.
